Faces of Fairbanks

Kelly  Griffin 5th place Yukon Quest winner.  She farms and raises dogs near Wasilla.                        Roni... won her first 4 dog spring race. She is a teacher in a native school and a dog raiser near Tok.

Fairbanks in February

 The frost never leaves

There are many things in Fairbanks in the winter that we don't have in central Illinois

 A shadow at noon...very low sun
 Plug ins everwhere
 Including us!
 LOOK hard yes... -33 degrees!
 People leave their vehicles running much of the time

Water is delivered to your house
 Taxis everywhere  the only thing there are more of is: see below!
The Ubiquitous RAVEN.... flying around at -30 degrees
